Section titled “Core Sites”Any CPVT SharePoint site will be prefixed with CPVT. The main, core company sites are Communication Sites connected to the hub site, CPVT-Main, so that links to each of the sites are quick and easy. The main SharePoint sites are as follows.
- CPVT-Main, main site with bulk of documents, all employees should be able to read/write this
- CPVT-Restricted. This is a parent site with folders for smaller, restricted sites. The folders within this site are detailed below. This was designed this way with the intent to make adding and changing permissions of new sites fast and easy
- CPVT-Financial, financial site with finance documents
- CPVT-Quality, site for quality team
- CPVT-NPD Files, site for NPD team. All employees should have read access to this group.
- CPVT-Receiving, site for Receiving team. All employees should have read access to this group.
Each of these sites are either shared with their respective groups, or by user if the site should be accessed by a small enough user base. See SharePoint Layout for more info.
Customer Facing Sites
Section titled “Customer Facing Sites”By default on the main site, external sharing is prevented. This acts as a means of Data Loss Protection (DLP). There is a set of sites created specifically for sharing with customers, named with the convention CPVT-CustomerName, e.g. CPVT-WellJoy. These SharePoint sites are configured to only allow sharing with a specified domain to ensure confidentiality.
When creating this site, create a parent folder with the company name and share that with the given contact at the customers company.
